The Suitcase is our first stop motion animation short film, directed by Pier Paolo Paganelli with Associazione Evoé and Studio Croma.
The short tackles the delicate topic of Alzheimer’s disease through a poetic screenplay and the use of engaging animation. He has obtained notable recognitions, including the prestigious selection in the final five of both the Nastri d’Argento and the David di Donatello 2015. In The Suitcase, refinement from the point of view of meaning goes hand in hand with formal refinement: this results in an effective product in communicating the discomfort caused by the disease. In collaboration with the students of ISART with the patronage of the Alzheimer Italy Federation and the support of the Carisbo Foundation of Bologna.
