Even if the 33-year-old Anna has already completed her sentence for the crime she committed when she was a teen, but the judgment lives beyond the verdict, in her conscience and people’s eyes. She cannot even find the strength to meet her mother again, despite the restorative justice path she has been pursuing for years. That’s why she flees to a small provincial town, to leave it all behind, but her past comes knocking again: this time she’ll find the strength to face it and open to her second chance.

The film was made in an impact-producing framework, thanks to the involvement of the Casa Circondariale Dozza / Rocco d’Amato prison in Bologna and the Compagnia della Fortezza of the Volterra prison, for the inclusion of people in detention in the shooting and the film’s distribution strategies.
