Tower 19 has always been a self-managed apartment building. The administration, maintenance of the green spaces and common areas, and recreational activities have always been managed exclusively by the condominiums, 72 families in all, who have taken advantage of the opportunity with great creativity. So much so that they even invented a television.

It is not a luxury residence, but a popular 18-storey tower (plus three – with ground floor, basement and terrace) towering above the small artisan shopping centre ‘Il Pilastro’ in Bologna, the city’s periphery par excellence.

The director Vito Palmieri and the screenwriter, Sofia Assirelli, through the collaboration with DOM – La Cupola del Pilastro, recounted the experience of the condominium TV station Teletorre19, and with it of the entire ‘suburban district’ of the city of Bologna, the Pilastro, meeting various subjects that animate its social fabric.
